Drawing to a Close
I made it through the busiest month in my musical career so far! I had 5 concerts in the span of one month and I can’t thank these guys enough: Phyllis Chen, Melanie Sehman, Proper Glue Duo, The Nouveau Classical Project, and MATA. These guys put in the work to learn my pieces and perform them spectacularly, and MATA took a chance on us to program one of my pieces! As I prepare for the next stage and get some things lined up for future dates, I am also reflecting on the past month and how we all worked together to pull off this many concerts in a short amount of time. I’m also thinking about momentum and ebbs and flows through life. As I have made it through a busy part in both my life and career, I know that either the momentum will continue with more opportunity, or it will slow down and give me more time to write and create the next opportunity. Whatever the case may be, I’ll gladly put in the time and effort with anyone else involved in the project to see it succeed. It is very nice to see the small new music world start to be more cooperative overall than ever before. I feel fortunate and grateful to be apart of such an environment and can’t wait to see where it all leads in the future.
